Investigators with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office will be staying busy over this Memorial Day weekend after fishermen found human remains in the Suwannee River.

The remains were found Saturday afternoon just south of Highway 90. Officials say the remains could be related to a drowning that took place in July of last year.

The sheriff’s office and FDLE will be conducting a joint investigation as they attempt to identify the remains.
