Valdosta, GA- Lowndes County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a body was found off Beatty Mill Circle near Moody AFB around 10am Tuesday.

LCSO Lt. Stryde Jones said the man is described as a white male in his late 20s. The body was found in a wooded area by a friend of the victim.

Police have not yet released the man’s identity nor his cause of death. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
