Valdosta, GA- Three men stopped on I-75 by Lowndes County Sheriff’s Deputies were found to have had a bit more than illegal window tint. Deputies performed the traffic stop last week- during a search of the vehicle, police found 126 tax refund checks that were made out to various people.

The total amount of the checks were valued at a staggering $107,610. A LCSO release says the men were likely on their way to cash the stolen checks.

The men arrested were identified as 37-year old Craig Koonce of Bradenton, FL, 44-year old Keith Brooks of Bradenton, and 37-year old Eric Neri of Jesup.
