For the first time in Masters history, the famous green jacket will be heading to the Land Down Under after Aussie Adam Scott defeated Argentina’s Angel Cabrera in a two-hole playoff.
Scott thought he had the green jacket in hand after nailing down a 20-foot birdie putt on the 18th, only to see Cabrera knock a 7-iron within 3 feet of the pin to force a playoff.
On the second playoff hole, Cabrera made par after a 15-foot birdie putt scraped the right edge of the cup, but failed to drop. That miss left Scott with a 12-foot putt for birdie, which, once it fell into the hole, saw him become the first Australian to put on the green jacket.
