Valdosta, GA- According to officials with the Georgia Department of Transportation, the West Hill Avenue overpass project is moving along on schedule. Over 20 percent of the project is now completed, however, it hasn’t been without some issues- specifically with area utilities.
In moving water/sewer lines, gas lines, electrical, cable, and telephone lines, a GDOT spokesperson has said they have had some issues.
The next major change you’ll see in the area will be the addition of new frontage roads running parallel to West Hill. Those will be created in order to allow access to businesses and homes once the overpass is complete.
