Live Oak, FL- A 23-year old McAlpin, FL man has died following a one-car accident near Live Oak around 5 Saturday night.

Robert Roy Newman III was driving his 2002 Toyota RAV4 westbound on 86th Street when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing the SUV to go off the road. Newman then struck a fence and a tree head-on.

A FHP report states excessive speed was a factor in the crash- the 23-year old was pronounced dead at the scene.
