sgmc NASHVILLE, GA – On Tuesday, November 12th SGMC Berrien Campus will hold its 10th annual Hospital Community Day from 8 am to 12 noon. This is an opportunity for local residents to visit the hospital and learn what community resources are available. The event will be held at SGMC Berrien Campus located at 1221 E. McPherson Ave. in Nashville. Vendors will have displays of health-related information. There will be drawings for door prizes and give a ways.

SGMC Berrien Campus provides a wide array of healthcare services including on-site imaging services, lab work, inpatient and outpatient care, a 24-hour Emergency Room and the Dogwood Senior Health Center. Medical providers at the SGMC Berrien Campus can refer patients to South Georgia Medical Center’s award winning Stroke and Spine programs, state-of-the-art Dasher Heart Center and many more services as needed.

For Community Day, SGMC Berrien Campus will provide FREE cholesterol screenings and glucose screenings starting at 7 am in the Fast Track Lab (fasting is required). There will also be FREE blood pressure screenings on campus starting at 8am.

“We are excited to have a wide range of vendors this year that will be here to inform the community of resources that are available to them. We are also excited to introduce the Berrien Specialty Clinic to the public,” states Neil Ginty, administrator for SGMC Berrien Campus.

The Berrien Specialty Clinic- a division of Southland, MD is an outpatient facility for out-of-town specialty physicians who will see patients in Nashville on a regularly scheduled basis. This will make it more convenient to have specialized care closer to home. The Berrien Specialty Clinic- a division of Southland, MD open house and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 11 am inside SGMC Berrien Campus. A free lunch will be provided from 11 am to 12 noon to holders of a meal ticket, this is provided at registration.
