Hahira Native Helps Send Red Sox to World Series Victory

red sox boston BOSTON, MA – On Wednesday, October 30th, The Boston Red Sox won the World Series in a 6-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Stephen Drew, a Hahira native, helped the Red Sox achieve that victory. In Game 6 of the World Series, Stephen Drew hit a solo home run in the fourth inning to send the Red Sox to a 4-1 lead. Drew sparked a three-run inning for the Red Sox with his home run which sent the sold out Fenway crowd into a frenzy as the Red Sox coasted to victory. Drew played baseball at Lowndes High School, and played college baseball at Florida State University.
