On Thursday, June 27, physicians and pediatricians including RD’s, PA’s, NP’s, and RN’s from the Valdosta area will meet at Southern Landing Restaurant for the Strong4Life Provider Training program. 

The meeting will center on a discussion about BMI measurement, nutrition and physical activity with patients and their families. Strong4Life has created a series of counseling techniques to be incorporated into each visit, after realizing that providers have a restricted time with their patient during a well child visit.

This two-hour program is free and also allows for participants to receive continuing medical education (CME) credit for their attendance. This program helps providers to continue to improve the conversation with patients about the health crisis surrounding childhood obesity in the state of Georgia.
