ALBANY, GA—On June 12, 2013, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation will host “Hiring Our Heroes” in Albany, Georgia. The hiring fair will help brave veterans and military spouses in Albany find available jobs.

Several employers from companies ranging from America’s biggest employers to dozens of small companies from the region will be present at the hiring fair.  The event will also offer a free University of Phoenix-sponsored employment workshop that includes one-on-one mentoring sessions on resume building, resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job seekers.

Hiring Our Heroes has been able to help more than 108,000 veterans and military spouses over the U.S. find purposeful jobs since its launch.  The U.S. Chamber, National Chamber Foundation and Capital One, announced a national campaign   to engage the business community in committing to hire half a million veterans and military spouses by the end of 2014. Thus far, more than 900 businesses of all sizes have pledged to hire 230,000 heroes toward this goal.
