The Southeastern Conference (SEC) has announced a new start date for its Conference games only 2020 football season.
The SEC football season will now consist of just 10 Conference-only games. The Championship game, to happen at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, has been rescheduled from December 5 to December 19.
All of these season changes stem from the SEC’s efforts to provide safety and flexibility during the COVID-19 pandemic, and include a December 12 open date for all schools.
