JACKSONVILLE BEACH — There has been another shark bite incident off the coast of north Florida.

Reports out of Jacksonville state a shark bit a 10-year old girl on her leg near the south end of Jacksonville Beach Wednesday.

Police report the girl was only in about 2 feet of water when the shark, estimated to have been about 3 feet long, bit her below the knee.

The injuries were not life-threatening.

Previously, on June 26, a woman was bitten in the same general area while swimming.  Then, on July 19, helicopters spotted two large sharks near the beach, prompting them to sound the Dangerous Marine Animal Warning.
