TALLAHASSEE — Florida’s Governor isn’t showing his hand when it comes to a possible U.S. Senate run in 2018.
Rick Scott is still spending money on television ads around the state and has spent nearly $300,000 on political consultants in the past few months. He didn’t rule anything out when asked by reporters about a potential Senate bid.
“I’m continuing to work my job as Governor, I just went through an election last year and I’ve got 3 and a half more years as Governor, I’m going to continue to make sure this is a place where you want to raise your family,” Scott said.
Scott’s term is up in 2018 when U.S. senator Bill Nelson will be finishing up his third term.
