MACON — A large, upscale development is planned off Bass Road in Providence Village in north Bibb County that could include medical and banking offices, retailers, restaurants, a hotel and residences.

The 116-acre site wraps around existing similar businesses, such as the Homewood Suites hotel, Natalia’s restaurant and other medical offices that already exist in Providence Village, said commercial real estate broker Bob Lewis, owner of Macon-based Bob Lewis & Associates.

Lewis’ company represented the buyer, Bass Capital Group LLC, and is now the exclusive agent for the sale of various parcels in the development.

“It’s going to be an extremely high-end development,” Lewis said. “There is a ton of interest already.”
