Arrested: Malcolm Noel Holsendolph, African American male, 34 years of age, Valdosta resident
On June 24, 2024, at approximately 11:30 pm., Valdosta Police Officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Hightower Street after a citizen called E911 to report that someone had been stabbed. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 35-year-old male with an injury to his head. Officers immediately rendered first aid until South Georgia Emergency Medical Service and the Valdosta Fire Department arrived on the scene and began treatment.
As officers began to investigate the incident, they were advised that the victim had been in an argument
with Malcolm Noel Holsendolph, 34 years of age. Holsendolph asked the victim to step out in the front yard of his residence. When he did, Holsendolph assaulted him. Holsendolph then left the scene.

was taken into custody without incident. Holsendolph was transported to Lowndes County Jail, and he has been charged with:
- Aggravated assault-felony; and
- Possession of a knife during the commission of a felony.
The victim was transported to South Georgia Medical Center, where he was treated for a non-life-
threatening injury.
“This was great work by our responding officers conducting a thorough investigation and taking the offender into custody quickly.” Said Chief Leslie Manahan.
