GA state capitolGovernor Nathan Deal will sign a bill Tuesday that will help protect athletes who potentially have suffered a concussion while on the field. Deal will put pen to paper today at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.

The bill dictates that any student-athletes showing concussion symptoms will be pulled from play and must be cleared by a doctor or trainer before returning to the field. In addition, primary and secondary schools must create a policy to minimize concussion-related injuries.
