LOWNDES CO, Ga. – Lowndes County Sheriff Ashley Paulk is excited to again offer the firearm safety courses for the public. These classes are provided at no charge and are presented by experienced firearm instructors.

Each class begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office firearms training facility with a classroom presentation about Georgia law and the use of force and then moves to the firing range for hands on shooting drills and instruction.

Class participants are required to provide their own firearms with a holster, eye and hearing protection, 100 rounds of ammunition and a hat.
