Lowndes ext 5Valdosta, GA- The Viking Touchdown Club is proud to have teamed up with local business, advertising partners, the Lowndes High Band Boosters, and the TSA club to bring Lowndes fans the new video board located in the north end zone. They are also delighted to have added a new scoreboard to the south end zone and to have replaced the north end zone scoreboard with a new, larger board. Both boards are digital and work in unison with each other.

At a value of almost $500,000, this project was in the planning stages for several years and was made possible not only by the generosity of local businesses but also by the unwavering support of Viking fans over the years. No system funds or taxpayer dollars were used in the purchase of this new equipment.

Partnering with the Touchdown Club to make this achievable in addition to Jon Bowman and the Lowndes High Band Boosters are John Newton and the Technology Student Association club of Lowndes High. The band is assisting in the selling of advertising and the TSA will provide the game day operators for the video and score boards as well as designing logos and ads.
