Following a 10-inning loss on Friday and a rainout Saturday, the Braves had one last chance to salvage a game against the New York Mets. On Sunday, it was the offense that woke up and made a winner out of Tim Hudson.
The veteran righty threw 7.1 innings of of 5-hit ball, giving up 3 runs in the process. Hudson hardly needed the pitching gem, as the Braves spotted him to a 5-0 lead in the 3rd inning.
Reed Johnson and Freddie Freeman each had 3 RBI in the victory.
Next up: at Cincinnati, Monday at 7pm.
