Cheese Sold in Ga. and Fla. Recalled

cheese copyATLANTA, GA – The Georgia Department of Agriculture has issued a recall for cheese being sold in Georgia and Florida.

90 pounds of Flat Creek Farm and Dairy’s Heavenly Blue cheese and 78 pounds of the company’s Aztec Cheddar cheese are said to be contaminated with Salmonella according to GDA officials. Inspectors are taking action to make sure the products are off the shelves and displays. The USDA said there have been no illnesses reported related to the products.

The Heavenly Blue Cheese products are marked with the lot code 130916XHB and the cheddar cheese is marked with 130823XAZ.
