ATLANTA (AP) – The 31 public colleges in Georgia have seen a 4,900 student drop in fall enrollment since fall of 2012 said university system officials on Wednesday. Approximately 309,500 students enrolled in fall classes, and out of those students 274,500 are taking a full load. The enrollment decline is 1.6 percent down from last year, and was down 1.2 percent from 2011 to 2012. Officials say this could be related to increased admission requirements and economic reasons.
