A simple traffic stop on West Jackson Street in Thomasville ended up turning into a major drug bust for the Thomasville PD. Around 1pm Tuesday, officers pulled over Charlie Stevens for a minor traffic violation.
While searching his car, police found $2,800 on his person and nearly $18,000 in cash inside his Chevy Camaro. A search warrant was then issued for Stevens’ house, which yielded another $14,000 in cash and crack cocaine.
Stevens is now charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of tools for commission of a crime. He is free on bond from the Thomas County Jail.
