Moultrie, GA- Last week, we told you about a proposed ordinance in Moultrie that would fine offenders for wearing their pants too low. On Tuesday night, the city council unanimously passed the city’s new indecency ordinance.

The new public indecency ordinance makes seven activities illegal under that statute, including:

Actual or simulated sexual activity or masturbation, lewd exposure of sexual organs, lewd appearance in a state of partial or complete nudity, lewd caress or indecent fondling of the body of another person, and public urination or defecation.

As for the ‘sagging pants’ portion, the council stated that people would be in violation of the ordinance if they wore pants more than three inches below the top of the hips, exposing the skin or undergarments. A first violation could cost up to $25, with subsequent violations costing up to $200.
