ALBANY – In as many days a second bomb threat has been called into an Albany Walmart. This threat, like the previous one, was also a hoax.
The incident occurred at the Walmart in East Albany on Clark Avenue. The incident has caused the evacuation of the store and adjacent gas station.
Reports stated a caller told a Walmart employee around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon that a car with a bomb inside would arrive 30 minutes later. This preceded a separate bomb threat at a Walmart in North Georgia. WSB reported that store had also been evacuated.
Tuesday, the Walmart in Albany on Ledo Road was evacuated after a bomb threat was reported. The Marine Corps bomb unit located at the Logistics Base provided an all clear later.
