QUITMAN, GA- On August 1, 2014 Brooks County Schools held its annual County-wide meeting at the Brooks County High School gymnasium.

There was an inspiring welcome by Superintendent, Owen Clemons and an invocation led by Pastor Arnold Hodum of New Life Assembly of God Church.  Soloist, Carmelyta Spencer led a medley of inspirational songs and both the Brooks County High and Brooks County Middle School bands perform uplifting music.

Beth Lee of Brooks County Middle School was named the 2014-2015 Brooks County School District Teacher of the Year.  Lee is a native of Brooks County and is entering her seventh year of teaching.  Teaching was always her dream and she believes strongly that it is important as a teacher to be flexible and adapt to any situation as well as be compassionate.

Lee’s ultimate goal as a teacher is to inspire and motivate as many students as possible.
