VALDOSTA, GA – Lowndes County Schools will reopen on Friday, January 31. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our parents and staff this week as we worked through the challenges of extreme weather. As always, the safety and well-being of our students and staff is a top priority for Lowndes County Schools.
Superintendent for Valdosta City Schools, E. Martin Roesch, said “We certainly appreciated the constant updates given by the Lowndes Emergency Management Agency that helped us make informed decisions. We do feel that it will be safe to transport students tomorrow therefore our schools will reopen on Friday, January 31. We would like to also acknowledge the coordinated efforts, communication and support of our community over the past two days.”
