VALDOSTA, GA – Moore Hallmark, Executive Director of the Southeast Region for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, officially presented the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber with its 5-Star Accreditation award Tuesday at the Chamber’s final 2013 Quarterly Board Meeting at the Rainwater Conference Center.
“Much like accreditation for educational and medical institutions, this distinction signifies that the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber maintains the highest standards of performance,” said Hallmark in regards to the meaning of accreditation. Hallmark explained the criteria for the accreditation process and how rigorous the preparation can be.
Jay Prince, 2013 Chairman of the Board of Directors, received the award on behalf of the Chamber. “We are so honored to be awarded 5-Star Reaccreditation by the U.S. Chamber. This award validates how well the Chamber is performing its responsibility to its members. We will continue to be a leader for business advocacy, with recognition as being one of the nation’s premier Chambers of Commerce.”
The 5-Stars, the highest mark given by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, rank the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce among the top 1% of local chamber organizations nationwide.
