THOMASVILLE, GA – Thomasville Police Department said there are people in the area involved in a money order scam.

Authorities say the suspects will go to the bank after they close, and deposit the money order into the ATM machine. Police want citizens in and around Thomasville to be aware of the activities of the suspects to help find them. Lt. Wade Glover, of the Thomasville Police Department, said he wants local financial institutions to know and be aware of the scam so they can notify the local police department of any suspicious activity.

TPD said they have strong leads in the case, but it is still under investigation.
