Fair Ride Owner and Operator Get Indicted

fair grounds rides amusment RALEIGH, N.C. – Two men have been formally indicted on felony charges following a thrill-ride mishap at the North Carolina State Fair that seriously injured three people.

WTVD-TV Raleigh-Durham reported on Tuesday that Timothy Dwayne Tutterrow, 42 years old, and Joshua Gene Macaroni, 32 years old, both of Quitman, were indicted on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury. Tutterrow was the operator of the fair ride the night it malfunctioned. Macaroni was not present the night of the accident, but his family business owns the machine that malfunctioned.

Both men are free on bond awaiting trial.
