Early Morning Crash in Lanier Co. Leaves One Dead

Fatal Crash Graphic LANIER COUNTY, GA – Three people are injured and one teenage girl is dead after a crash in Lanier County early this morning.

According to Georgia State Patrol, four people were traveling in a 2008 Ford F-150 around 3:00 a.m. when the driver ran off the road and crashed into a tree on Studstill Road. Shannon McCollough, 18, of Lakeland was killed on impact. Bryan Anderson of Woodbridge, Va., Stephen Sheb, 25, of Dunlop, Tn. and Jessica Hansford, 28, of Stockton, Ga., all received non-life-threatening injuries and were sent to the hospital.

Police say the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is assisting in the investigation. The accident has been deemed a possible prosecutable fatality crash. Anderson, the driver of the vehicle, and Sheb will be taken into custody after their release from the hospital.
