MOULTRIE/TIFTON, GA – On Tuesday, November 5th, voters in Moultrie and Tifton took to the polls to vote on whether or not the cities would sell alcohol on Sunday. In Tifton the vote was 481 yes to 343 no. Moultrie was much closer with 366 yes to 319 no. The Moultrie vote on liquor by the drink sale was 382 yes to 310 no. According to City Clerk Ella Fast of Moultrie, the Sunday sale will begin this weekend in Moultrie.
