VALDOSTA, GA – Students at Valdosta High School are asking community members to pledge to drive safely.  Valdosta High School is committing to keeping teens safe on the road, so they are participating in Celebrate My Drive, a program that promotes the fun of getting your driver’s license while teaching teens good driving habits to help avoid car crashes.

“This event is very important because our students are making a commitment to safe driving so that they can celebrate all the good times in life,” said VHS principal, Dr. Janice Richardson.

You can help VHS win a $100,000 grant and possibly a concert by Kelly Clarkson in Valdosta by  logging on to www.celebratemydrive.com  and making a safe driving commitment once a day, every day, between Oct. 18 and Oct. 26. As of Wednesday, VHS had over 6,600 pledges and were in 73rd place. VHS must be in the top ten to receive the $100,000 grant, and in the top 50 to receive a $25,000 grant.

To help Valdosta High School reach this goal just log on, enter your email address, answer a few safe driving questions and pledge to be a safe driver.
