TIFTON, GA – Tifton residents have two Sunday alcohol sales proposals on the ballot this upcoming election day. Some residents believe the Sunday sales will help local businesses, while others think it will do more harm than good. If the ordinance is passed on November 5th bars will be able to be open on Sundays and sell alcohol. The opposition to the ordinance believes Sunday should be held as religious day, and alcohol sales should be prohibited. Election day is Tuesday, and early voting continues through Friday.
