Valdosta, GA — The Valdosta Fire Department is still investigating the chemical fire at the Perma-Fix plant on August 14th. Investigators have turned to the employees who were working the night of the blast for answers. Three Perma-Fix employees were injured the night of the blast which could be seen from miles away. The Valdosta Fire Department is unlikely to file any charges against Perma-Fix. They are calling the fire an accident.
