Two people were hospitalized following a crash in western Brooks County Sunday afternoon. GSP troopers say Deputy Justin Taylor was driving his patrol car northbound on GA-333 when he struck a a Chevy Malibu driven by 22-year old Casey Davis.

According to a report, the 22-year old had pulled out in front of the trooper while traveling east on Highway 122. A passenger in the Malibu, Linnie Hughes, was taken to SGMC with non-life threatening injuries.

The deputy was taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville with minor injuries.
