Officials with the Georgia State Patrol have confirmed that an 81-year old woman has died following a single vehicle crash in Berrien County. Dolores Lyon was traveling northbound on Nashville-Enigma Highway Monday afternoon when she lost control of her car.

The vehicle ran off the highway, struck two signs, went through a yard, and landed in a ditch. Investigators say the 81-year old had a history of medical problems, and could have suffered a medical episode, causing the crash.

Her official cause of death will not be determined until an autopsy is performed.
