Valdosta, GA- A 4-year old girl who was struck by a car on Bemiss Road over the weekend has died. 4-year old Khamiyah Newsome ran out in front of a car shortly before 9:30 Saturday night when she was hit.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Bemiss and Guest Road- the driver of the car in question has not been charged in the incident, although the investigation remains ongoing.

The toddler was taken to SGMC and later airlifted to Shands Hospital in Gainesville where she passed.
