The family that steals together, stays together…until they get separated behind bars, that is. Such was the case for a mother-daughter tandem from Moultrie whom police say stole more than a dozen checks from an Albany construction company, then cashed them.

58-year old Mary Cantrell and 30-year old Jamie Cantrell Walter were arrested over the weekend after police say they tracked the stolen checks to their Colquitt County home.

The daughter faces two counts of identity fraud while her mother faces four counts of ID theft, however police say she could face up to a dozen additional counts when the investigation is completed.
