Tifton Could Be Latest To Vote On Sunday Alcohol Sales

Share with friends

beerCity leaders in Tifton may soon take up the issue of Sunday alcohol sales, and let the citizens decide on the November ballot. Two ballot items could potentially come up later this year-  one would allow liquor by the drink in restaurants on Sundays, the other would allow package sales in stores.

The council could decide as soon as next month whether or not to put Sunday sales on the ballot. They say they are looking for public input, and will be holding a public hearing on August 5th at 5pm in the municipal courtroom.
