construction at nightWith above-average rainfall in July and kids getting set to head back to school in the next couple of weeks, road crews in Colquitt County are scrambling to repair washouts and damage on dirt roads.

Repair crews started working on Edward Warren Road and Hopewell Church Road earlier in July- both of which have been washed out due to nearly 4 feet of rain that has fallen in Colquitt County in 2013.

The paving of Hopewell Church Road has been done for over a week, and Edward Warren Road will be reopened before school starts August 7th. County officials say if drivers see roads that need to be repaired they should call the Colquitt County Annex Building at 229-616-7404.
