Valdosta, GA- Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two Valdosta residents as part of an undercover drug bust. A plainclothes officer set up a drug buy with two people on Tuesday in order to purchase cocaine from them.

When the undercover officer arrived at the meeting place on West Hill Avenue, deputies swooped in and arrested 40-year old Tamela Jones and 43-year old Robert Boone.

Jones is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and obstruction of an officer, as she attempted to swallow the cocaine upon being arrested. Boone, meanwhile, faces the same charges in addition to use of a communication device for facilitating drug transactions.
