Lakeland, GA- The GBI is investigating the death of a Lakeland man who was found shot in his vehicle. Police in Lakeland were called to 100 block of 8th Street around 12:30am Sunday in response to an accident in front of a home.

When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as 38-year old Jamie Gaines, inside the vehicle, shot to death. Investigators determined Gaines was shot in his vehicle, and subsequently crashed into a mailbox, fence, and a parked vehicle.

No arrests have been made in the case- anyone with information about that shooting is asked to call the Lakeland PD at 482-3390 or the GBI at 912-389-4103.
