A 48-year old Thomasville woman is out of a job and behind bars after being caught on tape stealing cash from her employer. Gloria Jean Conger allegedly went to Cannon’s Classic Cleaners on East Pinetree Boulevard three times and stole money, checks, and credit card receipts.

After another weekend theft, the owner watch surveillance video which showed the woman entering in the back door wearing latex gloves taking cash after hours. Armed with the evidence, detectives with the Thomasville PD went to Conger’s house, where she admitted stealing the funds to support a crack cocaine habit.

She remains behind bars in Thomas County on an unknown bond.
