Valdosta, GA- A simple traffic stop along Myrtle Street in Valdosta led to the arrest of one man on a number of drug charges. Police stopped 23-year old Michael Green, Jr. around 9pm Tuesday for a traffic violation.
In the course of making the traffic stop, Green and two other in the car tried to run from the scene. When doing so, he dropped a number of baggies filled with marijuana. Police caught up with Green and charged him with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a housing project, obstruction of an officer, and various traffic offenses.
The other two in the car with Green were able to flee the scene and remain on the loose.
