A Valdosta State University student who went missing for nearly a week back in April has pled no contest to charges that he traveled from Hahira to Panama City to meet an 11-year old for sex.
19-year old Nathan Wilkins appeared to fake his own death in April after a fisherman found a pile of clothes and a suicide note along a riverbank in Brooks County. Wilkins was later spotted and captured in Denver, CO in an attempt to avoid prosecution.
Wilkins was arrested in a sting operation conducted by local officials and the FDLE when he answered an ad to meet an 11-year old in the panhandle beach town. He was charged with traveling to meeting a minor for sex, computer pornography and child exploitation.
