Valdosta -The Valdosta Police Department continues to search for suspects in the Ashley Beauty Supply murder case. The police are offering a $2,500 reward to anyone who helps catch the killer who shot and murdered Ashley Beauty Supply owner 62-year-old Kanwaljit Spai.
Ever since the Friday night shooting, Valdosta Police Chief Brian Childress and other investigators are working with several leads, however they have not made any arrests.
Investigations prove that around 10 p.m., Spai was robbed as he was closing Ashley Beauty Store for the night and then killed.
Illegal video poker machines in the back of the store found by police may have been an incentive for the robbery.
“We are willing to hand out $2,500 right now to anybody that provides us with the information that leads to the arrest in this case. We’re looking for a name,” said the police chief.
