City leaders in Lakeland will be starting the search for a new police chief immediately after Jeff Harrison resigned his position late last week. Harrison had served as the city’s top cop for the past three years. He leaves Lakeland for a ‘higher paying job’ in North Dakota.
Darrell Watson has been named the interim chief while a search is underway for Harrison’s replacement. All applications for the job must be submitted to the city by June 15th.
