Valdosta, GA- Two young parents are behind bars at the Lowndes County Jail following an investigation into a severe injury to their 6-week old daughter. Police were initially called to the InTown Suites on Baytree Road early last month regarding an injured baby.
The baby was transported to SGMC, where doctors determined the little girl had a skull fracture. 19-year old Michael Quick and 20-year old Alizabeth Ledbetter were each charged with one count of Cruelty to Children and subsequently arrested.
The 6-week old was released from Shands Gainesville and is now in custody of the state of Georgia.
