Suspected Meth Maker Back in Jail

jailJosh Whitaker, 41, is back in jail for cooking meth  just three weeks after he was released on bond.

Thomas County Narcotics agents say Whitaker was cooking meth at a mobile home on Myrick Road. Fire and EMS personnel where called to the scene because of toxic smoke throughout the house. Police also found a hot plate, gas generator and a glass jar containing meth oil.

Whitaker was just released from jail three weeks ago on a $26,000 bond. He now faces new charges of manufacturing meth, meth possession, and unlawful possession of ephedrine.

Whitaker was denied bond.
