Local Students Receive Congressional Appointments To Service Academies

GA state capitolCongressman Jack Kingston (R-GA) announced today students in the First Congressional District of Georgia have received Appointments to United States Service Academies. The students were interviewed for Congressional Nominations into the Class of 2017 by Congressman Kingston and the Military Academy Board. Interviews were conducted at Bethesda Academy in Savannah.

The students receiving appointments are Michael L’Herault of Valdosta. He received a Congressional Nomination and has been Appointed to the Military Academy at West Point as a member of the class of 2017. He is the son of Diane and Mark L’Herault. Michael is currently a senior at Lowndes High School.

Kasey Candelario of Valdosta received a Congressional Nomination and has been Appointed to the Air Force Academy as a member of the class of 2017. He is the son of Elizabeth and Peter Candelario. Kasey is currently a Freshman at Valdosta State University.
